Why do I need this plate if my pistol is already "Optics-Ready"?
The factory "Optics-Ready" cut on the S&W M&P 22 Magnum and M&P 5.7 uses the Shield RMSc footprint. This adapter plate allows you to securely mount a red dot that uses the different, but very popular, Docter / Vortex / Burris FastFire footprint.
Will this fit other S&W M&P models?
No. This plate is specifically designed for the unique slide cut of the new M&P 22 Magnum and M&P 5.7 pistols. It will not fit standard M&P 9mm or M&P 2.0 models. Please see our other S&W mounting solutions for those pistols.
Important Fitment Information
This mounting plate is designed exclusively for the Smith & Wesson M&P 22 Magnum and Smith & Wesson M&P 5.7 factory optics-ready slides. It is NOT a dovetail mount and will not fit non-optics-ready models.
