So glad you make a mount for this iconic firearm. I love having modern optics on this gun. It will be become my weekly bullseye gun next week. I have 3 other mounts from you. Keep up the great products.

Had not planned on needing this, but the M52 I'd purchased had it's rear sight rendered adjustable for elevation only by a prior idiot whose skill and knowledge level were not up to whatever it was he was trying to do. Would not have thought of a red dot to give me a viable sighting system, but EGW had the solution. The piece is well finished, the dovetail oversize as has been every sight dovetail I've ever worked with- though I'd seen some complaints about this, clearly the best fit is obtained by fitting the mount to YOUR gun. Enough on that. Installs as it should, holds the Vortex Red Dot just fine. Well made, EGW!

The mount is built well, took a bit of fitment to go into factory dove tail which is expected. No problem mounting a Vortex Venom to it. The problem is it required a 1 degree shim to get it sighted in at 25 yards. Probably more to how gun is built vs the mount.

I assumed that the sight mount would fit like the iron sights that they replace. The iron sights slide out easy with finger pressure after loosening a set screw. Since I saw a set screw on the EGW sight base, I thought it would fit the same. As it turned out, The EGW set screw is in the wrong place to register in the depression on the slide. Also, the fit of the base in the dovetail cut is TIGHT. I had to sand the bottom till all the surface coating was gone. Then I was able to drive the base in with a plastic faced hammer. It is a typical install for the EGW base but I had hoped for something easier to install and remove so I could change from dot sight to irons easily. I probably will not be shooting the 52 with irons with this setup but that is on me for not checking first. Otherwise, the mount is solid and just using eyeball centering, was shooting in the 6 ring at 4 o'clock. A few clicks and 5 shots later we were in the 10. As always, the sight to mount fit was perfect for my Vortex red dot. This is my 3rd EGW sight base and they are always well made and require very little fitting. About 10 minutes all told and worth it for a very solid mount.

Had to do a bit of filing... the dovetail base was just a tad large.... but after filing a bit off, it fit nice and tight!!!!

First the good. The mount arrived quickly and in good condition. It is machined very well and fit my vortex venom perfectly. Now the bad: it did not come with instructions. I have installed these before so it was not a big deal except they don’t tell you that the part is tapered and it must go in from the left side. That information is on their website. I looked at some Internet videos and they were conflicting. The second problem was that the front and back of the mount interfered with the top of the slide. I talked to the EGW tech support and he said that it was a tolerance issue. Some of the slides have deeper dovetail cuts and this can happen. I solve the problem by milling .010” off of the underside the front and rear of the mount. If the mount was designed.010” taller this would not have been an issue.
