Installation & Overview
Upgrade your Glock or Glock-pattern pistol with a low-profile red dot mounting solution from EGW. This dovetail-mounted optic plate replaces the factory rear sight and allows you to directly mount popular red dot optics without permanent slide modifications or machining.
Designed around the Docter footprint, this mount supports optics like the Vortex Venom (open emitter), Vortex Viper, Burris FastFire series, Viridian RFX25, and other compatible red dots. The direct mount design keeps the optic lower than many Picatinny rail adapter setups for improved sight acquisition, better presentation, and a cleaner overall setup.
Machined in the USA from high-strength 7075 aluminum and finished in matte black hardcoat anodizing, this Glock optic mount is designed for concealed carry pistols, range guns, competition setups, and defensive handgun builds.
This mount installs into the factory rear sight dovetail from left to right with the muzzle facing forward. The dovetail features a progressive taper to aid installation and proper fitment.
Due to manufacturing tolerances between firearms, minor fitting may be required.

Installation Instructions
Remove the factory rear sight
Install the EGW Sight Mount into the dovetail
Tighten set screw if applicable
Place the optic onto the mount
Apply blue Loctite to mounting screws
Torque mounting screws to 15 in/lbs
Fitment Notes
This is a press fit mount. Utilization of a sight pusher tool may be required.
Due to manufacturing tolerances between firearms, minor fitting may be required. We strongly recommend installation by a qualified and competent gunsmith.

“To EGW: This is the fourth mount that I have purchased from you. Two Novak mounts of which one went on to a Springfield Armory 1911 .45acp commander holding a Vortex Venom RMR. The second I had to slightly modify to fit a 10mm Rock Island Armory 1911 also holding a Vortex Venom RMR. The third and fourth were for Glocks. One is on a G34 and the other (the newest) on a G19. The RIA 10mm is used exclusively for pug hunting here in Florida. I hold our hunting patty's one-shot kill record with it. The Springfield Armory 1911 with your Novack Mount I have given to my son. He is with the Navy S.E.A.L.s and tells me that his Team Commander is extremely impressed, as is their armorer. My son tells me that they are looking into your mounts for some of their own personal weapons. And if it is good enough for the S.E.A.L.s … I took my Glock 34 with me to Gunsight for a week long class on Pistol Craft. My son went with me. It was my gift to him for coming home from a very long deployment. He has a EGW mount on his G19 which is what he used at Gunsight. I credit the G34 with giving me a slight advantage over his G19 as my final score was only a few points above his. Also old age and experience too, even though I was only an Army Ranger. I am about to place another Novack mount on a Kimber Custom Shop 1911. It is my Everyday Carry piece. I am head of our Church Security Team. Some of our members are taking notice of my G19 and its RMR. Everyone of EGW's mounts provide a rock solid and secure foundation for all of my RMR sights. Not one has ever slipped, broken or failed to hold the RMR to the slide. 9mm, .45acp and 10mm handguns make no difference to the strength of this mount. The recoil on the 10mm is impressive. Yet the mounts have never failed me. I have had the RMR break down on the 10mm and on my G34. But only after literally thousands of rounds through each. Yet the mounts act as if they are one piece with the slides. I could have had the slides milled for the RMR. But two things stopped me. One was voiding the warranty on the weapon. The other was the cost of milling and the quality. EGW's mounts do not challenge the integrity of the slides. The height of the mount I found to be negligible. I own a Walther Q5 Match whose slide is milled for an RMR. But it too requires a plate for specific types of RMR sights which raise the milling almost back to the original height of the slide. After doing all this research to learn about all the different options to mount an RMR to a slide, EGW mounts stood high above all others. I trust my life and the life of all those I love and care for to my weapon of choice. And it carries only an EGW mount. Nothing else will do. When it truly matters, when the lives of those you love and even your own life hang in the balance, your gear has to work. It has to function the first time, and every time. There can be no compromise in that scenario. I look back at my time in the military and I often wonder if I had the gear then that I have now, would those who did not come home be with their families now? Now I do have the gear. And with it, everyone goes home. Thank you for your excellent product. One look at it tells me of the masterful craftsmanship that you put into every product you make. You do not compromise.
