This mount is for a Colt Rail Gun 1911 .22lr that has the Walther slide.

You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.Installation Instructions- Remove the rear sight*- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail- Tighten set screw (if applicable)- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs2 Flat Head Cap Screws - Provided for Trijicon RMR.The screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64'' allen wrench for installation.Click here to see a video from Vortex on how to install our red dot base on a slide.

“Fits, but is very tight. The original sight was held in with the Allen screw and slides off easy. The new mount is tight. I filed the sides of the mount and the bottom when I saw marks forming when I was trying to start it. Once it started to push on, i held it in a vice lightly then tapped it on with a small hammer and a block of plastic. I eyed it to center, I then lock tighted the Allen screw and snuged it down. I give it 5 stars because once you fit it on, you never have to worry about it again. I expected my original rear sight to need to be pressed off and I expected to have to "fit" the mount to slide. But when the original slid right off, I expected the mount to slide on, but maybe a press fit is better for the extra weight of the mount and red dot on the slide. Definitely recommend if you need a mount for any gun, get it from EGW. If you feel like fitting it might not be for you, buy it and have your gun smith fit it for you.... the fitting is what gun smith train to do, a lot of parts are made to be fitted on to a gun to make them run correctly.”
