no problem using this mount, although I did have to do a bit of filing to get a fit

The EGW mount for an M1911 looks to be most excellent. I haven't mounted it on one of my M1911 pistols yet because I haven't yet purchased a red dot scope for it. Looks like it'll be a Gideon Optics Red Dot Scope with a red circle and dot reticle.

I canceled the order and a refund was given, so I have no experience with this product. The five stars are for customer service. Thanks, Jim P.

I've bought a total of five EGW mounting plates for various guns, including a previous 1911 Government mount. On one hand, this mount was notably more difficult to install than any of the last mounts, including the previous 1911 mount, that I removed as an experiment to test on another gun. I left it on that gun and bought a second mount to replace the one that I removed. Overall, it would have worked better with the new mount on the new gun ! Overall, I like these mounts, the sights always fit without problem and tight enough to not move around and change the point of aim. Well done piece of equipment.
