You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included. Minor modification may be neccessary for Rock Islands. “Plate is made of quality material and looks great! Once finally mounted it works like a dream. However, after struggling to get it started in the dovetail for hours…. I gave up and took it to a gun smith. 2 hours time and some custom machining that cost me as much as the plate itself….. it finally went in. Had to trim off 10/1000 of an inch to both sides of the dovetail bevel to allow it to be pressed in and it still went in very, very tight! Now installed it looks and functions perfect.”

“No idea if it's any good or not. Still waiting for delivery of the correct mount. Even though my existing rear sight is engraved with LPA, it is really a Bomar type. I have now ordered the Bomar version, but will have paid almost as much in shipping costs than the $49 price of the mount. Paid to get the first one shipped, then again to have the correct one shipped and I still have to pay to ship the incorrect one back to EGW.”

“Personally I think it was a bit tight to slide into the LPA cut and it raised the sight higher than I like. I'll probably have the slide milled or stay with iron sights.”

“I bought this mount for my Rock Island Armory 10mm with LPA dovetail cut. I had a gunsmith install it for me, because it was a very tight fit, as described. Fit very nice and looks great. Love it....”

“First the good news. It is a very nicely made mount in that everything aligns perfectly... mounting posts for the optic and the screws/screw "holes" to secure the Holosun optic to the mount. The length of the mount also fit perfectly into the LPA cut. The reason for 3 stars is that I needed my sight pusher to remove the old sight. However, when I installed this mount it went into place with 4 or 5 very light taps with a very light small hammer (plastic head on one side) made for working on jewelry. No sight pusher needed... in other words with a bit more hand strength, I could have simply pushed it into place. Since it was so easy to slide into place I'm afraid it won't stay in place when shot. It does have a set screw which I hope will keep it from moving. Also, I used Loc-Tite on the dovetail and the set screw to help insure everything stays in place but I'm skeptical that will work long term. If there is a way to update this review (for better or worse) I will after use in several pistol competitions (IDPA and Steel).”
