“Seems well made, however it does not sit "flat". I have used .015 of shim under the back side of the mount and then added another .012 of shim between the optic and the mount to get it canted enough to zero. I've used up all the adjustment in the optic and will now be forced to continue to find ways to bring the point of impact up. If the dove tail was made to fit tighter and the mount would sit flat it would be a nice piece, however this thing as it sits is junk and I'll probably try a different mount. Sorry nice try but it's a fail.”

“The EGW TRIJICON RMR / SRO, HOLOSUN 407C / 507C MOUNT FOR SIG SAUER P220 10MM HUNTER, #49528, fits the P220 Match Elite .45. Sig will tell you there are no mounts for the .45 but it’s the same. It’s a tight fit, but so is the adjustable iron sight. The EGW part fits without modifications. It was also too wide for my sight pusher, so I had to tap it into place with a rawhide jeweler's mallet. The 507C mounting plate supplied with the new Holosun HE905 fits the EGW 49528, so it is possible to mount an enclosed red dot sight on the P220 .45 Match and Match Elite, as well as the 10mm Hunter. Removing the Sig's adjustable sight is also difficult - you need a robust sight pusher. Of note, is that there is a set screw under the sight, accessed by removing the height adjustment screw. A sight pusher is then necessary to push the sight out of the dovetail. Use caution because the spring for the firing pin safety block is underneath the sight and must be captured when removed. Also, ensure to lift the sight blade clear of the slide frame as you push. When mounting the EGW, stop about halfway over the spring receptacle so you can slip it in under the mount before pushing further. One caveat, the HE905 Holosun on the EGW mount ran out of elevation adjustment at ~7 yards, so I'll need to deal with that either through sight picture compensation, or a shim. In summary, EGW makes a high-quality product that helps some pretty esoteric pistols be able to use a red dot. The difficulty is determining if the red dot of your choice will have enough adaptive capacity to be a good match.”
