You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.Installation Instructions- Remove the rear sight*- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail- Tighten set screw (if applicable)- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbsThe screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64'' allen wrench for installation.Click here to see a video from Vortex on how to install our red dot base on a slide.

“The tolerances were so close to the 407c that it felt magnetic just putting the two together. I had to pick them apart. So much better than the last mount I had on my SR40C. Sighted in easily.”

“Got my rmr/sro mount delivered quickly. Knocked the iron sight out installed mount with no problems, fit like a glove. Centered mount on slide, was dead on left and right and 2inches low at 10yd This was mounted on ruger sr40c Great company to deal with”

“Had been on the fence for a while, but decided to go ahead with putting a red dot on to my Ruger SR9 full-size pistol. If you know anything about the SR9 it is a decent pistol and one I had purchased quite some time ago. One of the things that I considered was sending the slide to be milled, however, I had forgotten that the SR9 has a standard loaded chamber indicator that would prevent me from being able to mill the slide. Knowing this, I began the search for a mounting plate that would replace the rear sight as it's dove-tailed and fairly large. Well, what do you know...I ran across these guys who make a plate system that would do just that replace the rear sight and still allow the loaded chamber indicator to still work. So, glad I made this purchase as it works exactly as I had hoped. I was able to have a local gunsmith push off the rear sight and push on this plate system to the pistol, which, is extremely secure and allowed me to install a Holosun 407c green dot. This mounted up perfectly and allows me some renewed life back into a gun I still like to shoot. Even though this pistol is old, it still has a lot of features I like and shoots very well, with the addition of the red dot, I expect that it will do even better.”
