The fault initially was mine, as I initially ordered the wrong amount. The above mentioned was out of stock so I ordered another mount from a different company. The fit was terrible. Sat way too high above the bore axis making it impossible to zero. the above mentioned came back in stock so i ordered it. the fit is much better but it still sits too high. i have it close enough to zero but cannot adjust it anymore.....

Occasionally the gun, mount, and dot do not want to play nicely with each other and you will run out of elevation in one direction or the other. If that is the case, you can get a 1 degree shim and place it between the dot and mount to get you back on target. If you need the point of impact to go up, you will need the thick part of the shim at the rear. If you need to move the point of impact down, the thick part of the shim will go at the front.

Sight works very well. Easy to use. Installation was somewhat difficult due to the sight being a little too wide to fit into the dovetail. Some vigorous filing got it done. Maybe the dovetail was cut too small. Anyway, installed and works well. Good buy for the money.

The sight mount fit the cut on the Taurus PT1911 but the bottom of the mount just ahead of the Novak cut hit the top of the slide. I had to remove about 0.012" to clear the slide. Also had to remove a small amount from the dovetail to get the mount in the dovetail. Work very well after these small modifications. Very solid mount.
