Our Case Gauge Ammo Checkers are machined from solid 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum.Our gauges are made to SAAMI miniumum spec.While some companies use boring bars to make chamber checkers, we use the actual Clymer reamers that are used to chamber barrels.Anodized matte black for durability.Measures min case diameter.Measures max overall length. “Works great! Previously I used the simple "plunk test" for my handgun reloads, bought a 9mm checker a after I had a few of my reloads fail to chamber in a match - used this tool on all my remaining reloaded hangun ammo and found half a dozen more that failed the checker (likely bulged case range pickup brass) which I was able to remove from my match ammo supply. Now every round, of every caliber I reload, goes through an EGW checker, and I wish I bought the bigger 50-round versions! The .223 was also extremely helpful in setting up my resize die, helped me iron out several die adjustments by running the brass through the checker after each individual die, helped me isolate, identify, and fix problems in my rifle die setup.”
