This tool was designed to install and remove extremely tight stop plates. This helps prevent extractor "clocking", a condition that can cause erratic ejection and malfunctions. The head of the tool is offset to clear most any sight. Fully machined from pre-heat treated 4140 steel

This 1911 Firing Pin Stop Removal Tool is mandatory for my Nighthawk 1911. The stop fit tight while the tool allowed easy stop removal. Recommendation this tool.

This thing is FANTASTIC!! Absolutely PERFECT for removing the FPS! And it does a great job of pushing the pin down to facilitate re-installing the FPS. It's a very beefy piece of metal......nothing flimsy here. I highly recommend it!

Ordered this tool because I had an issue trying to do the normal old method of just pushing the firing pin in and sliding the stop out easily. My firearm tolerances are very snug and this tool made it much easier to depress the firing pin and tap with a hammer the stop out of the pistol. Would recommend for sure.
