The Bergara Premier and certain Remington 700 models (ie. 700 Police) require the base to be drilled out for #8 screws. Our Remington 700 mounts that are predrilled are only available in our Heavy Duty platform and are available below. If you would like to drill the mount yourself, we do offer a #8 Drill Out Kit which comes with the appropriate drill bit and screws. Remington Long Action Mounts Drilled for #8 Screws:0 MOA20 MOA30 MOA40 MOAThis mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides making it ambidextrous. The bolt pattern on our Remington 700 Long Action mount fits Long Action Remington 700 rifles (example 30-06, 300 Win mag), as well as the 740 and 40x. Despite what you may have heard, the Remington 700 mount will NOT fit your Howa 1500 or Weatherby Vanguard. The bolt pattern is similar, but the remainder of the mount (ejection port, length, etc.) renders it useless on these two guns.We recommend measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions we have published. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type III anodized for long lasting durability. We recommend:0 MOA - if shooting 0-500 yards20 MOA - if shooting 500-1000 yards30 MOA - if shooting 1000-1500 yards40 MOA - if shooting 1500+ yardsWhen zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards. Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately). Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. I was turned on to EGW Guns by a Vortex Optics video showing how to properly mount a scope on a bolt action rifle. The instructor made the comment that Vortex often referred customers to EGW Guns if a mounting option was required due to the quality of their workmanship and large variety of mounting options for bolt action firearms. The rifle I'm mounting a scope on is a Remington 700 Sendero chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum that will be used to hunt large game at extended ranges. I chose to use their 20 MOA Picatinny Rail. I'm impressed by the quality of the workmanship and how the rail fits perfectly on top of the action with no tetering. I further chose to use their 30mm Tactical Rings to complete the mounting package which I'm equally, if not more, impressed with. I can't say enough good things about EGW Guns and I can't believe that I didn't find this company before now. I have called their customer service line several times for advice and was surprised to have an instructor from one of the videos posted on their website pick up every time. I highly recommend this company.
