Why choose a two-piece mount over a one-piece rail?
A two-piece mount is an excellent choice for shooters who prioritize access to the loading port for easier single-feeding or clearing of the chamber. It also offers a more traditional, streamlined look. While a one-piece rail is inherently more rigid, our HD two-piece bases are precision-machined to provide a reliable and consistent return-to-zero for all but the most demanding long-range applications.
How do I know if my rifle is a Short Action or Long Action?
The easiest way to tell is by your rifle's caliber. Short action calibers include .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .243 Win, etc. Long action calibers include .30-06, .270 Win, 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag, etc. This mount is for short action calibers only.
