We had a wonderful time on our Segway Tour of the park! Once we were on the tour, riding the Segway was like second nature. It was a fun way to see the park and the guide (Joey) was well versed with information on the history of the park and the buildings in it. We have highly recommended the experience to all our friends and relatives!

For those of you not from San Francisco, you cannot see the Golden Gate Bridge from Golden Gate Park. I did not know this, and was mildly disappointed. I thought the tour would be near the bridge. Oh well. It's a nice park, but not really much to see there. It was also really cold and windy (in June). Thank goodness the tour loaned us some gloves. I was freezing. It's really disappointing that most of the gardens/areas in the park required payment to get inside. I've been to some really nice parks with similar areas (Japanese garden, etc) that are free of charge. I know the tour wasn't going to go into those areas, but I figured we could after the tour until I saw how much it would cost. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

The tours are a pretty pricey, we'd do more trips more often if the price wasn't so prohibitive - even in bad weather, Segways are awesome.
