We hope you know that everything we do at Equiderma revolves around the goal of improving the lives of animals and their caretakers, and we certainly never want to be the source of any distress. The reaction you're describing is highly unusual, especially because there are so few ingredients in our Skin Lotion. While extremely rare, it is possible for humans and equines to have an allergic reaction to chlorhexidine, which is an ingredient used in many medical products and procedures. May we ask what skin issue you were addressing by applying the Skin Lotion? If your horse is experiencing immune issues, that can make an allergic reaction more possible as well. We sincerely hope she feels better quickly, and have located your order and initiated a full refund.
“Our horse has a very bad case of neck threadworm and had rubbed many many areas raw and patchy with the itching. This lotion has him now not itching, his hair is gowing back and he is much more comfortable. A really great product that is fast-acting.”

“One of my favorite products to keep in the barn. From scratches to rain rot, this will clear up any skin irritation in just a few applications. It also helps with rub spots in manes and tails, and itchy skin from sweat and fly bites. I cannot recommend this product enough! Pictured below is a before and after of a horse rubbing its mane. We used the product a few times a week and he stopped itchy his mane out and it's now able to grow back!”
“My horse began suffering from cannon crud last summer for the first time. It came back again in this summer's heat and flies. Several things I tried helped, but didn't get rid of it entirely, and had to be constantly reapplied. I used the Equiderm Skin Lotion once, and it looked like the cannon crud was completely gone by the next day! I did reapply a couple of days later as a precaution, but I'm so pleased with this product!! So far, fantastic results!!”
