Skin Lotion Reviews

I have been using Equiderma Lotion for two years on my rescued grey Warmblood who has a circulatory condition that contributes to scratches. He is the Ding King with highly sensitive skin that cuts easily and reacts to products with strong chemicals. Because of his circulatory condition, scratches can be life-threatening for him, and he is on daily oral medication to prevent a flare-up of his circulatory condition. This has given me lots of opportunity to develop a protocol to keep him healthy and sound. Equiderma Lotion is gentle enough not to inflame his skin, but it dries the scratches scabs, enabling me to rub them off a day later with my finger. The lotion is messy to apply, but I experimented and discovered that it works well in a spray bottle! I would love to see the lotion in paste form, but spray works well. Three years ago, my boy was run loose at an auction and snatched up by a kill buyer. He was underweight and covered in scratches at the time. A rescue organization raised the funds to buy him from the kill buyer and gave him the care he needed. Thanks to Equiderma, my boy is enjoying his best life.

I have had a great experience using Equiderma for sweet itch on my very sensitive mare. Her reaction from the midge bites this summer resulted in hand-sized welts all over her belly and very swollen legs, which became extremely sunburned. I used ALL the products - horse spray, Neem shampoo and conditioner, Neem lotion and the zinc cream. It took some doing, but as long as we kept her covered in product she started healing. Equiderma products were the only products she would stand still for. They obviously were soothing to her. She looks great and you can't tell she ever had been scabbed up from bites at all.

To date I've only used the Equiderma Skin Lotion once on 3 different horses, on their tail heads. They were constantly itching and rubbing the top of the tail head, breaking the hair. To date, it looks like the itching has stopped and the hair is starting to re-grow. I'll continue to use in in hopes for long, full tails for all 3 horses. Thank you!

This is an effective lotion that is lovely for both the horse and for the human to apply.

This product has been the most effective that I have ever used for mane/tail rubbing from Sweet itch. Also great for cannon dermatitis. I'm on my 3rd bottle, won't be without it.

With all the rain this year, my horse joined the crowd and got rain rot. I had used this product before when he had the crud on his hind canon bones so thought I’d try for his back and hind quarters. Worked great! Gone after 3 applications.
