The WHMIS course has a standard of training and in that guideline, there are certain requirements for what this course should contain. While there can be differences in how safety training companies approach a certain subject, ultimately, most of this information should be present in a WHMIS course.
Companies can develop their own in-house training and obviously, that would be more relevant to the day-to-day operation than the general WHMIS course under the OHS Act.
Unfortunately, we as a private company, need to develop courses that cater to all types of companies and not just to a specific one.
