I have not gotten my new Lunar Espresso Scale out of the box yet, my new coffee shop should be opening in month! But I have been using a Pearl at home for the last 2 years and love it. I anticipate the same rugged consistency with the Lunar that I have enjoyed with the Pearl!

The scale is a Christmas gift, which won't be given until Christmas. All I can say right now was that it was shipped and received in a very timely manner.

We ordered two of these for our Linea Classic with 3 espresso portafilters. They work great and we love the auto-tare and auto-timer count so that we can keep a good track and make sure we are pulling a consistent espresso every single time. So far we have had no problems whatsoever. The manual and app are very helpful in understanding the device and its features. We also have the "big brother" scale to the Acaia Lunar to way out our grind before we pull the shot. All in all a great buy and great scales!

I bought this balance a few weeks ago and I’m amazed by this product. Perfect my coffee shots until I always have consistency, so my espressos are always similar, I recommend it.

I really didn't need this scale (do any of us really need it?) but I thought it would be handy to have a timer and scale all in one. I received mine and found that it takes a bit to get used to the interface. That wasn't my real problem. In auto-tare/timer mode, the unit's timer would intermittently stop at 10 seconds. I have no idea why. Also, if you try and center your cup on the scale or center the scale during an extraction, the timer will stop. (yes, I do have the latest download for this scale). I found this to be very annoying and for $235, a bit of a waste of money. I wish I would have kept my separate scale and timer instead of this. I contacted Espresso Parts and was told that since it is an electronic part, I can not get a refund. I was told that the rules are on on the web site. Look at the web's ad. Do you see any disclaimer there? No. It's somewhere in the mice-type, in the murky depths of the site. As a point of common sense...if you ever buy anything from Espresso Parts that is electric and defective, you will never know until you use it. Once you use it, you void their return policy. Ridiculous, huh? If you do decide to purchase this, please purchase it from another vendor (Amazon?) where you can return it if it is defective.

I love this scale for its speed, accuracy and durability. My staff has an uncanny ability for breaking things, and this scale has passed the test. It's incredibly accurate, which can cause it to be sensitive when placed on unstable or vibrating surfaces. We normally use a fridge for our counter space, which caused the scale to be unstable, but the problem was solved by placing it just a couple of feet away on an anchored countertop. The only issue I have is that it can be very confusing to operate without instructions. During the first week we experienced a lot of frustration not knowing how to change the settings and wondering why the values kept changing. Customer Support was very helpful and pointed us to their online user guide. (Why would they not include it with the product?) My baristas had set this scale aside and stopped using it until I arrived because the could not understand how it worked, despite the instructions I had given them. If the controls were easier to use, would they have understood it better? Overall, it's a great product. I get giddy just thinking about it.
