“I purchased this shim kit after my Fiorenzato AllGround suddenly could not grind fine enough for espresso following a routine cleaning. The grinder was working previously, but after removing and reinstalling the upper burr assembly, I found myself at the finest setting and still pulling shots too fast.
After a lot of troubleshooting, I installed the thinnest shim (0.05 mm / one notch), and the difference was immediate. The grinder went from not being able to choke the machine at the finest setting to having plenty of adjustment range again. I am now several notches away from the stop and pulling normal espresso shots.
The shims are well made, clearly marked, and easy to install. If your AllGround is near the finest setting or suddenly won't grind fine enough after cleaning, this kit may be exactly what you need.
