“I've always read that there was a loud impact sound, and that is correct. But I wasn't expecting as much play with the moving parts as there is. It is nicely built, but other less expensive spring tampers have smoother action. That said, I customized the handle to a larger walnut version of the mushroom that I found in walnut. There are many handle options with the Force Tamper, but none of them from the company interested me. So I waited for a sale to be able to justify paying a bit more for the right handle from another company. The Force Tamper has a great selection of optional bases and sizes, so the ecosystem you buy into is pretty rich. 3rd parties make quite a few of those options. Which is fantastic.”

Using it is a breeze, surprisingly light and very little Force is required to tamp - No buyer remorse whatsoever!”
