“The old gasket wore out and wasn't holding pressure so it was time for a replacement on my Rancilio lever. The old gasket may break apart when removing but as long as you use plastic tools you won't damage the brass. Same goes for installation as these can be difficult to get on without a bit of leverage.
My only wish is that they were offered in silicone so they would handle the heat a bit better and possibly last longer than a year.”
