“I love this kettle because it holds temperature well. the problem is it holds temperature so well it burns your hand. the hand-hold is a little small and it heats up when you have hot water in it. the gooseneck is shorter than the aoyama kettle I have been using, so the posture is a little different (more directly on top of, rather than angling over), and takes some getting used to. the pour is still pretty good because the edges of the spout are beveled.
the top/lid also gets hot so if you run out of water in the middle of the pour (it's just 600cc), it is too hot to take the lid off without a cloth, which brings up another interesting point -- it expands when it gets hot and makes it hard to take the lid off.
but I overlook this because it holds temperature so much better than my steel kettle does (and it's so pretty).”
