“I've had the X54 for about a month now and have nothing but great things to say about it - even cancelled my Vario+ pre-order. To start, the build quality is solid, it's what you'd expect from a brand like Mahlkönig. Workflow and operation are super easy to use, has different time modes when dosing with a full hopper. I've opted to go the single dosing route - retention is around .1 grams when seasoned. Flavor profile is really balanced when grinding a wide variety of roasts. I've only opted to use this for espresso at the moment and am super happy with the flavor. This is absolutely capable of doing filter coffee as well. The only con is that you have to adjust the grinding range - so you couldn't generally share filter grind setting range with espresso grind setting range. Other than that I'm super happy with my purchase and the shots I've been pulling.”
