“I bought this basket with one specific goal in mind : to use it in a sawed off portafilter for my DeLonghi EC702.
After flattening the edges of the basket to make it fit (using a small hammer and a little of patience), it worked perfectly as intended”
“I received the original single shot basket which I have. I was trying to get the one pictured( with no ledge but a slope to the bottom): an aftermarket basket. Actually a better design. The one I received is not good for a 7g shot but works ok for 5 or 6 g shots.”
“If you read forms on the europiccolo, you’ll find person after person telling you this basket is garbage or that it can’t make decent espresso. If you are using this machine to make real Italian espresso, then this is perfect. If you’re making American espresso which is often way to sour and uses way to much grind, then stick with the double basket. This is perfect for 7-8g of coffee single shots. I love this basket. I misplaced mine and needed another. EP shipped it for free which was awesome. Since using this, I have come as close as I ever have to espresso in Italy.”
