“I am enjoying this softener very much. It is providing water to my single brew head espresso machine. There is no effect on the flavor of the water-it remains neutral.
The copy of this softener I received has a faulty three position valve. When changing from the machine supply position to the off position, water is passed through to the pressure relief outlet. This causes a puddle every time. Also, if I open the valve completely to the machine supply position, water will also pass through to the pressure relief outlet.
I think I got lucky and drew a bad valve. I don't want to be on hard water while returning and replacing the product, and I don't want my machine to be down either. I found that if I open the machine supply position nearly completely, but not all the way, it will seal and not pass water to the pressure relief outlet.
I would recommend this product to any espresso machine owner. It is well built and a good size for single or dual head machines. Time to recharge is very reasonable.”
