“I've used the 8-cup Yama stovetop syphon for over 10 years now, several pots daily, love the coffee that it makes, especially replacing the cloth filter and metal disk with an old Cory filter rod. There's nothing like it. With than much use, I wind up breaking a beaker about once every two years. No biggie. “I've been using a Yama Siphon daily for several years and occasionally break the top part.
I noticed that this one is made differently from previous ones, it has a seam connecting the tube to the brewing chamber.
I was concerned about how heating might affect the seam, but nothing has happened after several uses.
This one works great with my favorite type of filter, a Cory glass filter, it lets hardly any sediment escape to the bottom and hasn't stalled yet.”
