“After entering my car's details, I was offered a choice of about 10 batteries by a range of manufacturers. All of them were 190mm high but the original Renault battery was only 175mm high. I was lucky to get the positive terminal attached, (I had to tilt the battery, attach the connector, and set the battery down flat, hoping I would not damage anything.) It worked, but now the plastic battery cover will not fit. Also, it will not be possible to detach the positive terminal without firstly freeing the battery from its mount.”
