“Item was found to be easy to cut and light to handle. We purchased this to finish off our kitchen after fitting a new laminate floor. However, this product is not well suited for use in an old property (our cottage was built in the 1800's) where none of the walls are flat, square or corners at 90 degrees. We feel it would suit a new build where plasterboard has been used and the walls are true. Because the walls of our property are not flat/square then the corner pieces do not fit properly and are really a waste of time. We found that with the gasket underneath, when the skirting was glued into position, the gasket tended to lift the skirting back up, so we had to put nails in the wall to prevent this. Also the gasket kept folding back on itself so we found the use of the back of a knife was ideal to position in after installation. The online guide suggests that the gasket can be used for cable routing. With this statement we would (rightly or wrongly) assume that the gasket is of an oval design to feed cable through and not be a lip seal. Possibly by a design fault, the profile of the corners does not match up with the profile of the skirting. It was found that the lower tab of the corners exactly lined up with one of the stiffening webs within the skirting profile, so we had to cut off all of the lower tabs to fit the corners.”

“The Skirting Board really does look like wood and is of excellent quality. However Eurocell are not exactly on the ball with their delivery service and even tell you lies. So expect it when it comes which will take over a week and even a month later if you do not phone them up to remind them about your order.”
