“I beat the everliving life out of this wheel, so I've found its weak points which I'll describe after sharing my favorite things about it.
Firstly everything being up high on the wheel (pedal position, battery placement) is a great choice for riding this wheel above 10 mph, allows lots of clearance on trails, drops, climbs, curbs at awkward angles, sharp sweeping turns, pretty much all of what I require out of a wheel. Second I love the suspension setup when it comes to the ride, not very bouncy when setup right, ideal for hitting sudden rough terrain or hitting MTB jumps. Not as good as a coil shock mind you but still fantastic.
Third I love the overall package the wheel is, range is acceptable except for few situations, top speed is fantastic (myself I got it up to 57 wheel speed when calibrated with cars at 45mph) motor seems well balanced for the power the batteries can provide. Also the main physical attraction is the large flat sides, incredibly easy to attach whatever you want. The electronics are neat inside the wheel so it's simple to figure out what is what. And the teardown process with the right tools takes 8 mins.
Now the negatives. The design of attaching the pedals to the wheel is foolish, if you are rough on your wheels make sure to buy replacement side panels for when you crack or bend them. Bending the plates is easier than you might realize and bending them will result in bending everything else. Take this with a grain of salt I am straight abusive on this wheel. The rollers are low quality and ignoring them is inevitable, but it will damage these side plates overtime. The handles get ripped out way too easily which is bad because the rear handle houses your rear light, lost mine in the first 500 miles. Last bad thing is I've ran into many little software bugs resulting in me not knowing how fast I was going, my lights stopped working (definitely a hardware issue) and the speakers stopped working at the same time. Bluetooth always worked flawlessly.
Main thing to know: this wheel lasted me 4000 miles before I felt like it was necessary to replace everything but the controller and batteries, which is absolutely impressive. It rides great, looks aight, and feels great flying through the air, as well as landing after overshooting a 25ft jump lol. Hard to recommend this wheel unless you want one wheel that can do way more than it should, it's ultimately up to the rider in the end.
