“This was my starter wheel and I've since upgraded to one of the first suspension 18" models. The ACM served me well and still sits as my backup wheel. The ACM was nimble on-road and off, had decent speed and torque, and was "luggable" enough where I would just keep it in the trunk of the car and use it whenever the mood struck me seeing somewhere nice to ride. I ski and motorcycle and the feeling being on the wheel is similar. There were definitely easier wheels to learn on but this one has held up well.”
“This is my first EUC and I did a lot of research. Both studying comparison charts and many videos. I wanted the best wheel I could afford for several reasons. First safety. I wanted one with a high-powered motor, not for its top end speed, but so at half its power it provides a big margin. I could confidently climb up hills and over obstacles smoothly at any speed and never worry about cutouts, like with lower powered wheels nearing max output. It took surprisingly little time to confidently ride at 18-20mph. Secondly, I did not want to enter the trap of constantly chasing the best wheels. I wanted to make one purchase that I could grow into and never feel it lacked in range, speed, terrain capabilities, etc. Next, I compared what was out there in the upper range. The ACMv2 consistently came out on top. High on my list was the V10 and KS16S, but I could not justify it, being similar price and yet delivering less range and power. Also compared to the Msuper with similar specs (both these wheels are at the very top of the scale), the ACMv2 costs less and its 16” tire falls better in to the middle ground of both worlds— on-road agility and off-road abilities. Compared it to the Tesla, which is the exact same motor but less range for the price, again, no contest in my mind. Upon getting the wheel, I spent the first week indoors with it, just working on balance, holding on to walls. I found that the thickness and weight was a bit unwieldly to a new rider, least at first but now I simply do not notice it. When learning, I found myself thrashing around with the wheel due to weakness in the ankles and just poor balance. Kind of how one looks the first time on Ice skates. I ended up with a lot of bruising on the shins during this wobbly stage, so I used my elbow pads (if you don’t have gear yet, I suggest all riders at least get and wear a rollerblading safety kit with helmet and all the pads) I strapped them on each calf facing into the wheel. Once I could balance comfortably including on one foot, I put all the pads on, went to a parking lot and within an hour was riding all over and working on turns. This is where the thickness of the wheel is nice. I like the extra stability from the weight and ability to easily grip with your legs. Oh and I discovered after some time, once you are comfortable with riding, switch the ride stiffness to medium or hard. On soft, the mushiness makes it harder to take off from a standstill. I was frustrated how it would take several attempts to balance and ride off. Now after 100+ miles ridden I am very happy with my choice. This wheel has all the features and specs that rival any other wheel, smooth powerful operation and better quality than past Gotway engineering.”
“I've had this wheel for nearly a week. This is my first euc and couldn't be more pleased to this point with the performance of the wheel. My wheel also had a factory defect in the shell when it had arrived but it hasn't affected the performance. I figure after a few days of riding and a few scratches later, the factory defect would be not so noticeable.
Being a first time euc owner, I thought of purchasing the KS16s which is a great wheel from what i hear of, but what if I wanted a wheel with just a bit more power and twice the range for just a few more bucks. So this is why i decided to go with the acmv2. And with the new acmv2 improvements from Gotway, glad to have made the purchase. I must give a shout out to Jason at ewheels for he has made the buying experience a good one. I'll be turning to Jason for parts, accessories and perhaps ANOTHER wheel in the near future.”
“Have had this wheel for a week now and it's absolutely amazing. I've ridden other wheels, ACM, KS16s, V8, but my new ACM2 is on a different level. Not only is is smooth but also fast and stable. Some do not like the utilitarian look but I love it, I'm not found of flashy wheels with tons of lights, instead I prefer the workhorse look. This blue color looks sharp and only looks better in person. If buying a wheel whether it be your first or one of many, you can't go wrong with this one. I love it.
Ewheels needs a mention here, especially Jason. When my when got here it had a factory defect in the shell, Jason sent me a new one before I even shipped the original back, he took on the shipping charges as well. Service at ewheels is top notch and I will buy all my future wheels from here, they are that good. We are lucky to have them here in the states and I cannot recommend them enough. Cheers!”
