“Bought my V9 over a year ago and have used it to commute ~5 miles round-trip at least thrice a week. The suspension is very noticable and has saved me from invisible potholes a few times. The InMotion app allows you to tune acceleration and braking, so I was able to get this to feel similar to my previous KS14D (minus the weight when parked on one foot). It is a very smooth and enjoyable ride. I have my top speed locked at 22MPH for insurance and have never had it cut out (170lb rider + 10lb backpack).
Note that these suspension wheels are much larger than other 14-inchers. I'd say this is double the volume of the KS14D and V5F. It won't fit in lockers or next to your feet in the back row of a car, so plan accordingly. I had considered the Nosfet Aero and the Begode Falcon, but this was the best value at the time and I still have no regrets. If you're worried about the mall cop aesthetic, you can disable the LED strip.
My model had a stuck suspension at first but the eWheels team was very quick and supportive in helping me fix it.”

The 15-inch tire is a noticeable upgrade from smaller-wheeled alternatives; it absorbs sidewalk gaps and curb transitions without the nervous energy you get from a 14-incher. The 750Wh battery is genuinely practical for a city commuter; I've been running 10-12 mile round trips, as well as 30 mile recreational trips, and finishing with range to spare. Motor response is smooth and predictable, which matters more than peak wattage at this riding level. The app connectivity works, Bluetooth pairing was painless, and the ride modes actually feel distinct. eWheels had it set up and test-ridden before shipping, which showed; it arrived dialed in and needed no recalibration out of the box.”
“I'd been looking for a commuter wheel now that I stopped driving and have been relying on public transportation (bus/rail) and this V9 ticked off all the boxes. This has been my third wheel purchased from eWheels (Mten3, OG Sherman) and couldn't be happier with the level of customer service and support from them. If you're like me and live in Hawaii, eWheels is just about the only retailer that'll ship to the 808 state but also at a relatively affordable price for 2-day air with FedEx. Another retailer, which I shall not name, quoted $600 for sea freight (by boat). Yes, there are other wheels that compete in this segment and have better specifications (battery, motor, suspension), but I am very impressed with what Inmotion was able to package together at such a low price. As a commuter wheel, I need it to have a suitcase style handle to pick it up and down stairs, as well as a locking trolley handle to push it into the office and train. Sure, I wish it had a little more range, but that would have come at the expense of literal expense ($) and weight. Despite its advertised weight of 51 lbs., it's by no means an Mten wheel in terms of heft; You will feel it carrying it up and down stairs. I know the design was something that others bemoaned and criticized, but I personally liked the older suitcase style of wheels of yesteryear (RS, MSP, MSX) and feel like the V9 blends in better as a commuter wheel, resembling a piece of luggage. If you're in the market for that last-mile wheel or even just an errand wheel to have fun on (I like cruising at lower speeds now as I get older), there's no question in my mind that the V9 is the best all-arounder for the price.”
“I had issue with battery drain when the wheel was powered off initially but now that issue seemed to have been resolved.
I give this wheel 5 stars, due to it being big for a small wheel, yet light weight to carry around and maneuver. The size give this wheel stability.
This wheel is my and go wheel. I used it for camping, riding over roots, rocks just fine., It is not the best for hill climbing.
I can easily hit the beeps and the tilt back gentle enough that it won't throw me off. The beeper is loud enough to be heard at 28mph with helmet on.
The light effects are fun to play with and gives the wheel style and customizability.
The tire is very nimble, handles street and light offroad sections just fine. The headlight is bright and can be adjusted. "spike" pedals havent given me any issue, and i havent slipped off it.
I dont ride with pads for this wheel, the power response is great for what im using it for . I like the official seat inmotion has for this wheel, and it fits great and is nice and large.
Trolly handle is strudy, strong and easy to trolly the wheel with. This is a great little buddy for those quick trips, or get out to explore your surroundings with . The wheel charges very fast with the included charger in the box.
The location-based features are interesting to mess with but imo are a bit overhyped. Maybe in the future there will be different options that will utilize the ride connect a bit better. (GPS games or GPS community apps)
For the price, you are getting a good wheel, with a lot of features and is good deal! . The Suspension is perfect, when dialed in. I recommend tuning it lower than specified to limit bouncy effect.”
“I've owned the V9 for only a couple days so I haven't been able to ride the V9 much but the few miles I have done have been great. It's suspension works very well and it's a very smooth riding EUC. I'm a big fan of the digital display so I don't have to use a phone for info and the large pedals grip very well with the included foot studs. This has been called a "beginner" wheel. Any wheel can be used when first learning and I feel the V9 is anything but that. It has too many advanced features to be called a beginner wheel. The V9 is well suited for anyone with any riding experience level.”
