“Just got my Aero from ehweels. So far I am having a lot of fun with this wheel. It is nice and compact, lightweight, and easy to cart around. For a small wheel this thing has pretty big power, and super high maneuverability.
It won't compare to the bigger wheels with speed, and stability. But can hold its own on the streets with a little more caution while riding.
Build Quality seems very good.
There are lots of parameters to customize in the software to dial in your ride feel, and the suspension is pretty good for such a small wheel.
Overall if you are looking for a micro mobility/commuter type wheel, this is so far the best (and probably most expensive) wheel you can get.
There are probably better options for "last mile" wheels, but if you are looking for something you can use for last mile and have a bunch more fun and power with. This may be the best option.
There are a few complaints but nothing major:
1. Price point is a bit high for this wheel. (but you are getting really nice build quality)
2. Pedals are not the best. They get the job done, but I wish they were a little better thought out. I dont feel the need to replace them though for street riding.
3. Allthough i feel the Batteries are very safe and have smart BMS. For this price point I expect UL certification at this stage of the game. I would even bet these battery packs meet the requirements for UL certification, but with PEVs becoming so popular its only a mater of time before this is a requirement.. Not a nice to have.”
“This is the perfect wheel for commuting and just having fun. The two main limiting factors would be range and top speed, which are relatively low compared to others. However, those tradeoffs seem necessary to get all of the benefits this wheel does have!
It is relatively light and much easier to carry, making it great for commutes that may involve needing to carry it, which was important for me. Compared to other wheels similar in weight and size, its range and speed are actually very good!
The ride feel is also great, everything from the way the motor feels, how nimble it is, the suspension, and the pads it came with. I’ve ridden a few wheels, and none come close to the ride feel of this one.
If you aren’t after raw speed and range, and care about excellent ride feel and portability, this is definitely the wheel for you!”
“This is my 8th wheel and by far my favorite. It handles great and makes every part of surface more interesting. I may never go back to a larger wheel after experiencing what a dialed in, smaller wheel like the Aero can do.”
“100 miles on mine, coming from a master v4.
1. It glides... Compared to the master that grunts, its so smooth. Gives off leaperkim firmware vibes
2. It's quick, 2000w is no joke but go easy on it at 30mph. On the top end it can be overpowered...
3. Nosfet really knocked this model out of the park. It's SO nimble and the suspension is amazing.
4. I really like the dynamic tiltback, helps me feel safe.
5. Headlight is the brightest i've ever seen...
6. Quite light at 50lbs... It's suprising how easily I can move from sidewalk to road and hit high speeds....
