NEW: Speedway Mini 4 Pro, 614Wh Battery/500W Motor Reviews

4.9 Rating 27 Reviews
I recently purchased a Speedway Mini 4 pro for my commutes to work in Portland, OR. This thing is a blast to ride, and the fact that it folds up nicely with the trolly wheels makes it easier to stow in the trunk of my car or take on public transit. I'm a bigger guy (6'2, 230lbs) and I can get up hills in this thing no problem. I've noticed it does slow down a little taking me up hills if the batter level is below around 50%, but I figure that's par for the course. I like that I can get through traffic downtown quickly, and in an environmentally friendly way. I highly recommend purchasing one. The only slight con is that it's rear braking only, which means you need to be sure to position your weight above the rear tire when slowing down quickly. This takes a little getting used to, but if you ride safely, it's by no means a deal breaker. Jason was also super helpful answering a couple of questions that I had, in a very timely manner.

Thank you eWheels for picking up the Speedway line of scooters - I felt very safe buying this through an American dealer and the support after the sale has been exceptional. I did get a faulty battery charger initially and the support team at eWheels sent me out a new one immediately after I contacted them through email. Thanks to Jason and the team for the quick response. I highly recommend this scooter and hope to see more of these on the streets.

This is my first electric scooter and I am not a expert on this matter, but I can guarantee that this e-scooter is an amazing piece of machine. I have been using it in Downtown Vancouver where there is a lot of up hills and the power of the motor is fast and powerful.

Really great scooter! I've tried at least 3 different scooters and this one takes the Cake by a landslide. It is fast, the battery lasts a LONG time, and all the little bells and whistles really take it over the top. Thanks to the ewheels team, I was able to turn on the electric breaking which is really amazing.

This is a good scooter. First of all, let me preface this by saying I have only ever ridden one other scooter in my life, and it was a lime scooter - I am far from an expert, obviously, so please take my review with a grain of salt. I am just a guy who purchased this scooter for fun. With that being said, I think this scooter is a very good value. Who should buy this? If you're a commuter and need great range and good speed, this is for you. If you're not a psycho, and you think 20mph avg cruise speed is enough, then this scooter is for you. Who should NOT buy this scooter? If you're looking for scooter for high-end sport performance - something with a ton or torque and speed- this is not for you. You should definitely upgrade to the higher end scooters offered by this brand. I know I will. Again, if you need a commuter, this will be PERFECT for you. ----- I just finished a 12 mile ride through my city, some of which was fairly hilly. With a full charge, I had 66% charge left at the end of my 12 mile ride, and I pegged it 100% of the time. So range is, to say the least, exceptional. I was totally shot after riding 12 miles. Power is good. I am about 170lbs, and on flat terrain I average between 18-21 mph. The only slightly disappointing thing about this scooter is when you need to get up moderate hills. In that case, my avg speed was 10-12mph. But truth be told, I do wish this scooter had more low-end torque from a standstill (and yes, I turned off the "smooth start function." ) I admit, though, that this is nit picking. 99% of people are going to be very happy with this purchase. The only real downside to this scooter is the drum brake - if you've ever ridden anything with disk brakes, then you know how superior they are to drums. But, again, for 99% of people, the brakes will be 100% fine as long as you're not a total maniac. Just be sure to adjust them before you ride - mine had way too much play. Regarding build quality, it's top-notch. No complaints here - you can tell this is a quality piece of hardware that will last you a very long time. All in all, this is a great product. Again, if you need something to get around on in a very reasonable way, with a lot of range, then you should buy this scooter with 100% confidence.

Thanks for the feedback. To address the issue of the deficiencies of the single drum-brake, it's recommended to setup the regenerative braking to medium to complement this.

Thank you for a great customer experience. YOUR SERVICE IS WORLD CLASS. Once we got past the stalled start, as you were setting up, the status updates from Nick kept me confident that a solution was impending. Anthony, great technical sleuthing. Nick, thanks for your stick-to-it-ivness and statuses. Jason, Thanks for the overall experience. My son was ecstatic that his scooter was returned, maybe even better than new. Kind Regards from a very happy Dad.

THIS RIG IS A TANK!!! I was returning from an early morning fly fishing destination and was "T-boned by a Pontiac (they were cited for failure to yield). I broke their bumper loose, dented up their hood and broke their windshield. The M4 went airborne and landed yards away. The tires were ripped off of the rims, the forks were squashed, the headset was whopper-jawed and the steering was every-which-a-way. I figured my rig was done, or down for an extended period at the very least. After an hour or two of bending, hammering and swearing she was road worthy once again. HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE? She fired right up and the computer/electronics didn't even stutter! This rig reminds me of an off road Jeep I built when I was in my 30's. I give the M4 my absolute highest recommendation! Thank you Jason and the Ewheels team for you continued after purchase support.

Bought my Speedway Mini 4 pro about two months ago and as a commuter going into and from NYC, this is a must have! What attracted me the most to this scooter was the 28mph (I’ve gotten it up to 26mph). The fast charger is a great option to have but i can tell you that the battery lasts a good amount of time. I also ride at night and the scooter is very visible as it has the front and rear break lights. My commute is now fun and I no longer have to take a taxi which is saving me money. The most inconvenient part is the amount of people asking you about the scooter lol. I have four of my co-workers getting one. I think I should get a referral credit. :)
