“I converted my T4 to tubeless with the help the guys at ewheels! It's held up amazing through mountain desert and through cactus! And can take 40" drops without a blowout! Too I'm a bigger guy at 215.”
“Not a good match for the Sherman L on street. This TNT J-1218 knobby tracks too aggressively on pavement and makes the Sherman L feel heavier and harder to control. Low-speed riding is fine—very responsive and easy to maneuver—but once you get up to speed or attempt a quick U-turn, the tire fights you. You really feel the full weight of the wheel, and it turns every ride into a leg workout. I’m exhausted after each session.
I switched to this tire after running a tubed Kenda 262, which felt great until I had a pinch flat. I assumed going tubeless with the J-1218 would be an upgrade. I’ve also used a 244 on my Lynx and loved it—lighter wheel, fast turning, super predictable. But the Sherman L is a completely different beast. The extra weight changes how this tire behaves, and not in a good way. The knobby pattern bites too hard on street and makes high-speed corrections tiring and imprecise.”
“This tire is amazing. It does everything you want, and nothing you don't. Predictable under any terrain from rain to sand, gravel, snow, and more. Eats up the streets as well and has a lovely sound that will make you want to accelerate faster and faster. Has the feel of a nimble street tire, yet the grip off-road that you would expect from the most aggressive knobby tire. Highly recommend this tire for tubed and tubeless applications.”
“So I got this tire for the lynx and it does rub a bit but not too bad. But let me tell you definitely a challenge to get on just lube it up a bunch and add lots of air and hope that bead sits Other than that once it’s on man so much grip I can finally go off-road again and it just feels like you’re floating”
