“Been living with the Lightning a few months now. Really happy with it! Feel its as big and powerful as I'm likely to want to go.... Brakes are strong. Steering has a bit of what car people call "understeer". It subtly feels like it wants to go straight, which gives a feeling of stability, even at speed. The suspension is great; real treat to be able to ride over cobblestones and city street holes and bumps, as well as some off-road, smoothly with no fear of damage or instability. Power is massive compared to smaller scooter I'm stepping up from. Even lowest settings are good in the bike lane. At highest, 2 wheel turbo and " level 3", dusts all cars at urban stop light. As in, brace with the rear foot on the riser, lean forward and hang on. Have had no negative issues with the stock battery so far. Upgraded charger offered by e-Wheels, that displays voltage and amperage and settable charge percentage, a really appreciated upgrade over stock. I personally modded to folding handle bars for tighter urban storage and find them useful. In my experience, the steering bar lock-in is quite stiff with proper adjustment. VERY satisfied with the scooter, and price paid, for fun and urban transportation. Communication with Jason/ e-Wheels prior to purchase was nearly instantaneous and really helpful. Sense of customer support is so far excellent.”
“It's fast and the battery has worked as advertised. I've had the scooter a month and have enjoyed riding it to the train every morning. It can go up and down the hills by my house with no problem. I gave it 4 stars because the throttle is very touchy and I think the handling on the scooter isn't as tight as I'd like it to be.”
“This scooter is badass....The only trouble that I've had, is trying to keep the shit-eating grin off of my face while riding it! It is an absolute blast to ride. I've had people in cars actually track me down to talk to me about, because that can't believe how FAST I'm going. I'm not one to write a review typically, but this scooter is worth the time.
