“This is the first suspension electric unicycle I have purchased with a street tire, and I’m very glad that I did. The street tire’s tread is aggressive enough for off-road use but is especially well suited for high speed paved riding.
Yes, the Oryx is heavy, so it isn’t the best choice for aggressive trail riding, but the stability, speed, power, and most importantly, great range makes it worth it. I use a dog ramp to load and unload my Oryx into my car. The larger tire size smooths out bumps in the road better than any other EUC I’ve ridden.
After installing the included power pads, I dropped my pedals to the lower setting (reducing clearance, of course) before riding it for the first time, as I wanted maximum high-speed stability.
Given the Oryx’s height, and ability to lower the pedals, this is an EUC that is highly suited to seated riding, especially for people with aging knees. I highly recommend this wheel if you are looking for a stable, durable, and long-range highway cruiser.”
