“Shutters arrived as ordered very well packaged to protect from damage. Composite shutters a very heavy! Installed easily using the pintels & strap hinges. We are very satisfied!”
“The two sets of shutters are beautiful and were easy to install. The only challenge I had was the fact that the carton (measuring over 7' in length) was a two-piece cardboard box and the box lid and box body were only held together by clear packing tape about 8" in from either end. There should have been a LOT more use of tape to bind the two parts of the box together, rather than just at each end, considering its weight (180 lbs) and size.
While the individual shutters were packed between layers of white foam sheeting, the fact that the carton, due to its size and weight, "bowed" in the middle during handling and caused one of the shutters to have a large number of very noticeable scratches in the painted finish.”
“Great product. It’s necessary to view a video on how to install. If you have brick or other exterior siding that the shutter will be above please note it’s impossible to put a mounting bracket on the bottom. I was advised to use two side brackets if I can’t use the bottom bracket but it would be an eye sore so I drilled thru the batten and board which was easy but I was trying to get away from visible screws. They were ordered with the Sherwin Williams color my house has and it was a perfect match.”
