“I failed to use pilot holes and ruined my first two of four shutters. I know it was my responsibility to read directions but who does? The screws are not that large. I really feel that the company should make great effort to warn about the cracking of the composite material without pilot holes. Cracking is an understatement I am 65 years experienced DIY Also the plastic brackets work well but requires a little more than a quick install. Think it through carefully”
