“Before I ordered, I wanted to make sure that SCREWS were included. On the website, I saw that someone asked, "Do these shutters come with color top screws?" The answer was "Yes..." Just to make sure, I called and asked if SCREWS were included. Again, "Yes." I wanted SCREWS so that if I didn't like the way they looked after I installed them, it would be easy to uninstall them.
But they didn't send SCREWS--they sent SPIKES. I wrote to customer service, and told them I had been misled and would like to exchange the SPIKES for SCREWS. Someone who says her name is Amanda, and who claims not to have a supervisor, wrote that she was sorry I FELT I had been mislea (not that I HAD been mislead), but the shutters come with SPIKES and no, they wouldn't exchange them for SCREWS.
If you want cheap shutters, that look like cheap shutters, and want to make a permanent installation and don't care about customer service, maybe these are the shutters for you. Keep in mind also, though, that they're probably going to charge you a 35% "restocking" fee if you return them.”
