If you’re thinking “why do I need a food tour when I’m already eating my way through Italy?” then please stop and read to the end. My husband was a skeptic too but I convinced him to give this tour a try. Our guide Francesco went above and beyond, sharing his vast knowledge of Roman dishes and helping us understand how they’ve evolved over the centuries. The wine pairings Francesco suggested were spot on and we learned about so many varietals we’d never heard of before. Italian culture is intricately tied to its food, but you don’t realize just how strong that bond is until you go on a food journey with a local. Francesco even gave us restaurant recommendations for the following days we’d be in Rome. Every single meal blew us away. Needless to say my husband is very happy I twisted his arm to go on this tour!

Azzurra was the best! She made this tour so much fun for my parents and I. When planning our trip we wanted to balance ‘history tours’ with ‘culture tours’, so we ended up booking this along with the Vatican and Colosseum tours through Eyes of Rome. This was hands down our favorite! Azzurra taught us so many interesting anecdotes about Rome as we walked from one tasting to the next. And thank goodness for all that walking, because we had a lot of calories to burn off!

My wife is a huge foodie so I surprised her with this tour during our honeymoon trip to Rome. She told me she’d give it 6 stars if she could!

This was an excellent food tour with memorable experiences of different types of Italian foods and wine in Rome. Serena was a great guide and brought us to some really delicious places off the beaten path of the Roma food scene. Highly recommend this tour and do not eat anything before as you will be filled up by the time the gelato comes!!

Can't say enough good things about our tour. The food and wine were delicious! And if you are visiting Rome and want to get a bit off the beaten path and visit some of the hidden gems of the city, this tour is a must! Our guide Marida was pleasant, informative and very excited about her work and her city! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

What a tour!!! I've been in Rome before, and I know the city pretty well, but for the first time, I felt like a real roman :) Our guide Serena was amazing and gave us a local tour of the city that a tourist would not know about. We had gelato, pizza, pasta and delicious meats and cheeses. We enjoyed the local cuisine and tasted excellent local wines! I would highly recommend this experience or any other tour given by Eyes of Rome. Just remember to ask for Serena ;) We loved her!!

One of the best experience I had in Rome! Francesco let us taste some of the greatest cheese and salamis I’ve ever tried. Terrific. I didn’t know that my friends and I could have the opportunity to find local shops of “delicacies” right in the core area of Rome, Campo de’ Fiori. We stopped at many characteristic food places around the area and… I finally learnt how to properly raise a glass ("calice") of wine!! Italian Food is not merely a pleasure for your stomach, It is a truly experience. Could not do other thing than recommending this magic tour :) Grazie Francesco
