“Disappointed by this Jun scoby ** however, customer service is top notch ** This is my 3rd batch of kombocha but my first time making Jun Kombocha. The scoby wasn't solid and mostly milky in the second (inner) bag.. I tried it anyway and thought it might be perfectly fine.. It looked like it was gonna work but today the jun has no change since I put it in, 2 days ago. the scoby is on the bottom of my jar and starting to look gray and like a layer of something similar to lite mud..** Update 7/29/19 ** Changed from 1 star to 5 stars. After I made my review above, I called Fermentaholics customer service and got one of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Spoke with Kayleen first and she talked me through some things to look at and I also sent her pictures, then Jerry called back about an hour later and gave me some more tips about what to look out for. Although, he mentioned he doesn't think there's anything wrong they are still sending me a replacement scoby since I don't want to wait to see if it'll come out ok or not.. IMHO, they have every right to not send a replacement but they are still honoring my request.. Wow.. Thank you Jerry and Kayleen, first for not criticizing me for my newbie status and secondly for the terrific service you both provided..”
“It worked with the first try. It was easy to make, the directions were awesome. I really liked that it came with 4 recipes for different flavor cominations.”
“made a great Jun tea I hadn't tried Jun tea before and actually accidentally ordered this instead of the regular Kombucha--but I'm glad I tried it. I really enjoyed the Jun tea and may prefer it now!”
“WOW, very healthy living JUN SCOBY!! It took about 2 hrs to see approx. 3/4" of the light brown stuff accumulated at the bottom of a gallon glass jar! 6 hrs later overnight, there are a bunch of strands floating/attaching to the mother SCOBY. I like very strong green tea flavor so I double the amount of my Jasmine green tea leaves, and it seems to work just fine... so far in day 1.I do agree with other comments here that the instructions for Jun Kombucha should be updated - MUST wait for the tea to cool down to room temperature (85 degree F) BEFORE adding the raw honey.”
“Great SCOBY Used this same scoby for 2 years. Bought another for a friend. Have given many pieces of the original away as starters! Jun green tea is the bomb!”
