“I really loved my final straw at first, but I found it a little hard to clean. Cleaning the inside of the straw was no problem with the squeegee, but the inner area between the silicone and the shell of the straw would sometimes get liquid trapped, and it was really difficult to dry out or clean out. Also, the case was a little too narrow for me to get a sponge into to clean, and I noticed that part got dirtier than I expected. I have stopped using the straw because I have trouble cleaning it quickly and easily, but if a new design were to come out that made cleaning really easy, I would consider purchasing!”

We're so sorry you're having trouble cleaning your FinalStraw!! When washing it, be sure to stretch the metal pieces apart and get the outside of the silicone tubing nice and soapy before giving it a rinse. Once you rinse, fold your FinalStraw in a “V” formation and give it a little shake to let the water out. Then, place your “V” formation straw in a cup to let it dry. Once dry, fold back into your case and you are good to go!
At least once a month, we recommend you put your FinalStraw into the dishwasher folded into a "V" formation to allow for cleaning in between the metal pieces. Additionally, you have the option to sterilize your FinalStraw in boiling water with a little bit of baking soda.
