“I really enjoyed the concept of this straw, and want to love it, but it is hard and time consuming to make sure all of the water is removed from the casing and the rubber within the metal straw... I feel that no matter how much I make sure to air dry it in a variety of positions, the rubber straw either sticks to itself and is difficult to reopen or water still manages to stay trapped in there some how. It’s a great concept, just not so easy when put to action”

If you haven't already, try placing it in a "V" formation upside-down in a cup. Gravity can help bring out any additional water.
