“I am extremely disappointed with the purchase of my Apollo Phantom V2 scooter. I purchased it about 2 years ago & don't ride it that much. Now the battery doesn't hold much of a charge anymore & keeps dying on me. I can't seem to find a replacement battery & the price looks like it's listed at $1200-$1500 but it's out of stock and might be discontinued.
I paid $2000 for the scooter & the battery is almost the price of the entire scooter.
I will never buy another scooter from Apollo & since I wasn't told about how much the replacement battery would be from Fluid freeride, I felt I was ripped off & will never buy another product from both of these companies again & will tell everyone I know to stay away from them!”
“I've currently had the Phantom V2 for about 3 months now and ridden it for about 200 miles. Coming from an Apollo Ghost, the Phantom feels like the more refined version in terms of build quality, suspension, & performance.
I ride through the streets of New York City to get to & from work (it's about 12 miles round trip) while also enjoying the occasional joy ride around the neighborhood. The quad suspension easily handles the cracks/small potholes of the city. The acceleration is fast enough to keep up with flow of traffic and climb steep hills with ease (already hit 41 mph). The build quality is superb (and eye catching) with the stem having little to no wobble, a gorgeous display right in the center, excellent brakes (bought my Phantom with Zoom brakes) & lighting, and has a very responsive thumb throttle. My only criticism is the rubber deck arrived partially sealed around the corners, but it is an easy fix.
All I can say is great job Apollo! Thank you as well to Fluid Free Ride for the easy ordering process and constant communication throughout. I can't wait for the future V3 upgrade(s).”
“One of our scooters came with a warped front rotor, no worries I ordered a new one and installed. Zoom Hydraulics feel great now, very smooth and worth the upgrade. However I did notice on my front right shock that the rubber boot isn't where it should be. It was on the bottom of the shaft and not at the top protecting the upper seal. I didn't notice until I was changing my disc. I cleaned out and applied some lithium and reseated it, without removing the spring, not fun but it's on. I noticed it has threads so I screwed it on. Not sure about any degradation of the shock/seal, we have about 130 miles since we bought. My girlfriend and I have the most fun cruising the CA coast, big smiles I must say you guys have designed an awesome machine; beautiful, sexy and quite capable. I would recommend to my friends. I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again. I do recommend:
1. A smoother throttle or a way to program a throttle curve into the function
2. Use P-Clamps for the cables where the motor cable go into the motor. Much better then a one hole clamp.
3. More reinforcing spring material on the motor cable for better wear near the wheel area.
4. Is still hard to see in daylight but works great in lower light.
5. An app that connects to my phone that allows me to see scooter data.
That's it! Almost a five. Thank you Apollo for making my phantom V2 badass. Richard and Melisa”
