“This scooter has given my wife an extra freedom and convenience on her daily commute that is so amazing. She says so many people compliment her about her light 2 and she thanks me everyday for getting her this scooter. It is well built and just light enough, compared with other scooters, for her to carry up some stairs. I must mention the best customer service i have experienced in a very long time.”
“We ordered 3 Inokim Light 2's for the family from Fluid Free Ride (White/Black/Blue). They had to ship from FedEx all the way from FFR's ship location in TN to our home in Vegas.
Since I'm a bigger guy (6'2"/195lbs), I originally ordered two Lights and a Quick for me, and while the Lights arrived with no issues, the Quick arrived damaged from FedEx (shaky handlebars where they connect at the bottom) and had to be reshipped.
I was able to briefly try the Quick before I returned it but ultimately decided I was happier with the Light and just got a 3rd Light. In a streak of bad luck, the replacement Light got lost by FedEx and after two weeks of being stuck in the FedEx system, arrived damaged yet again.
The reason I'm bringing this up is that Adam from FFR was unbelievably understanding throughout and did EVERYTHING he could to make things right for us. Not once did we get any hassle from the merchant about this.
They were extremely diligent to make sure they cross-shipped out replacements for us in an expedient manner, were extremely polite and always quick to respond to us and as I write this now, all three Lights have (finally) arrived safely.
None of this was their fault in ANY way but they certainly could have been difficult or evasive. This was a very large purchase for us, and we were more than a bit nervous about how this would be handled. Certainly, we had a few other choices online about where to get our scooters from, but I need to make sure you all know that you should have complete confidence that using FFR will be a great experience and their dedication to service is unmatched. I really commend their efforts to help their customers and look forward to referring others to them as the opportunity arises.
As for the Light 2s, we have had the opportunity to ride all over (and up and down significant hills) to see how the scooters respond. My weight hasn't been an issue in terms of riding on flat or lightly angled ground. The scooters are extremely adept at providing good acceleration and make a cool modern sounding pleasant hum when riding. We really love them!
When going up significant hills, as long as I attack the slope with some level of speed, my riding speed will drop to roughly 5-6mph until I get through the majority of the heavy slope, but I haven't stopped dead except for the one time I stopped myself mid-slope and then tried to restart. Thus, you shouldn't have any issues with hills as long as you don't hit them from a dead stop. One final note about this, in the short time I had the Quick, I had the ability to test on these same hills and they carved through them like butter so if that's important to you, vs the size/weight benefit of the Light, then you might want that model instead but it's a no big deal thing for me.
Our Light's range has tended to be about 16-18 miles thus far which is more than we expected and the Light rides extremely stable. Aesthetically, the Light is really well made and is beautiful to look at. All wires are tucked in nicely and it feels extremely stable. We get a lot of compliments and questions from people we meet on them. The Blue color seems to get the most comments, but we love the contrast of all three that we purchased.
One quick note...I know that the FFR website warns tall people about purchasing the Light and points them to the Quick (or higher end models). Having stood on both the Quick and a Light, I find no difference in comfort between the Light or Quick platform and both sets of handlebars are extremely comfortable for my reach. The Quick platform is a couple inches wider but the Light platform is wide enough and not uncomfortable in any way.
It's also worth noting that while the Quick handlebars are roughly 4-5" higher than the Light, the Light's deck height is significantly lower than the Quick so when you standing on either, there was no net difference to me as to one being any taller than the other as the overall height difference is negated by their different deck heights. Again, no issue for me and I was thrilled to have the Light's smaller footprint and lesser weight tradeoff.
If you really want a taller set of handlebars, you probably want to forget about BOTH the Light and the Quick and move onto the Ox/OxO. (Just my opinion but don't decide between the two based on thinking one might be more comfortable for your arms than the other).
Hope that helps you all - since the wheels are Pneumatic, highly recommend getting the Armor Dillaz to fill the wheels against a tube flat. It was easy to apply and we feel protected now.
Again, heartfelt thanks to for FFR for our wonderful new additions! We couldn't be happier and look forward to taking them with for a trip to CA beach paths one day.”
