What are you mainly using your scooter for? Last mile travel
Coming from the Unagi, my experience with the Inokim Light 2 has been an exercise in compromise. The Inokim is not the most portable or easily folded system. The motor is quite noisy at top speed and struggles on uphills, certainly compared to the twin motor Unagi. however, it's running on large, pneumatic and foam tires which makes all the difference to the ride quality. Which for me, is number one. So it's not the slickest when it comes to smooth acceleration, braking and hill climbing, but does them all fine for me on a much more comfortable platform.

What are you mainly using your scooter for? Commute to work
I love my scooter. I bought it to commute between home and work. It is light enough for me to carry in and out of the building where I work, and I don’t have to worry about it getting stolen off the street. I ride in the bike lanes, and I don’t feel wobbly and don’t notice any bumps in the road. Thank you so much for making such a great product!

I bought this scooter after several days of research. I looked at all major brands/models and decided to go with Inokim Light. My impressions after about 6 weeks of daily use are the following: The scooter has performed reasonably well in the unforgiving streets of New York City. I use this scooter mainly for relatively short commutes (back and forth to the office, about 7 miles round trip). The unit feels sturdy and well made. The scooter has performed well and the battery has held up so far. Although riding at higher speeds or up inclined slopes could shorten the distance. Some days I have noted the battery going all the way to one bar after 8 miles, which makes me wonder whether 15 miles is realistic. Perhaps if you ride on smooth straight roads at medium-low speeds. I have not drained the battery down yet, but something tells me 15 miles is overly optimistic The pneumatic tires help make the ride smoother. Although they are prone to punctures and damage. I have already gotten 2 flats, which is quite frustrating. Perhaps independent suspension and harder tires could be a better combo for the streets of New York City. Also, finding the right inner tube (8.5 x 2) was hard. These are Chinese made and I had some trouble finding the right model online. There are also not that many retailers that carry this brand, which makes it a little harder to service. I wish it was a little lighter. You can certainly carry it in one hand, but it is a little heavier than I would have liked. In hindsight, I would have probably looked at other lighter models more carefully. I guess sturdiness comes at a price. The scooter is great looking. It certainly stands out from the rest. If looks is your thing, this is probably the smartest looking one you can possibly buy. Overall I think it is a great scooter. Really well made and sturdy, good looking, speedy (not the fastest out there, but at 20 mph you probably do not need more power anyway), reasonably smooth ride. Considerations: not that light, tires prone to punctures, difficult to find parts.
