This was a disappointing purchase, maybe due to my misunderstanding the description. There wasn't much 'story' in each chapter. The specified age range is 4+ and I can't see much appeal until age 7 or so when explicitly accumulating knowledge becomes valued. The implication of 'stories for bedtime' is less educational and more about calming, bonding, and fun. We found the entries to be textbook-like and dry. We joked that the point might be to bore your child to sleep.

Not sure about recommending this book yet. I was planning to give it as a Christmas gift but was worried that it would fall to the wayside due to all the other gifts the kids received. I plan to bring it over in a week or two. I'm just concerned that there are a lot of words to each story, which may not keep their attention.
