This book is an excellent introduction to birds for the preschool classroom. There are just enough facts, beautiful pictures and extra information for the older children.

This was a perfect gift for my 3-year-old granddaughter, who could identify several birds in her yard and the park even before she was 2! It has bright colors, and natural settings for the birds, and gives only one characteristic at a time so that a child can learn different ways to identify a bird! A terrific beginning bird book!
