My 5 year old daughter and 6 year old son each received this in their stocking on Christmas morning and it was a huge hit. I am a knitter and the kids had been asking to try. This was a perfect starter tool. Although they can just make garlands they have had fun using different yarns and making decorations for their bedroom.

I bought a class set of these wonderful knitting forks for my kindergarten class and we love them. The forks are a lovely, smooth wood that feel good in your hands, and the knitting technique is easily mastered by 5 and 6 year olds. It is a calming activity that my children enjoy doing. They also love making the chains into necklaces, bracelets and headbands.

Perfect for my 4 year old granddaughters hands. Takes a lot of concentration, but she will work at it.

I gave this knitting fork to my 5-year-old granddaughter. She quickly learned how to use it and made herself a 'necklace' which we tied in a bow at the back of her neck. The fork is so much easier to use than the 4-pronged knitting spool. It's a good way to begin working with yarn and not at all frustrating. She is eager to start a new project.

I bought 2 of these for my granddaughters (ages 5 and 7). They learned how to use it instantly and spent a long, snowy, pre-Christmas afternoon making chains for my tree. What a gift! They thanked me repeatedly and sat quietly for hours making their chains. Awesome.

This little knitting fork is so easy to use! We bought it for my 5 yr old daughter for christmas but my 8 yr old son loves it too. On a long car drive he said he'd rather knit with the knitting fork than watch a movie on his dvd player! They make little necklaces and super long chains. You can make quite a bit of progress quite quickly which is very gratifying for kids. I highly highly recommend this for first time knitters!
