The 5-year-old for whom this was purchased was unimpressed...as was his 9-year-old brother. Their dad, on the other hand spent a good deal of time trying to devise the perfect stacking strategy, as did their grandmother (me). On the surface, it looks like a good game for young children, but the softwood pieces are too lightweight to be particularly stable, making the success rate too low to encourage continued play.

Grandkids like to play this with grownups. Kids also like to see how high they can stack them by themselves too.
